On the map, Armies are depicted as squares, and Fleets are triangles. Make sure that when you meet with your group, you quickly determines roles, and then change your Zoom name to look like this [Role] your name [Country]. For example [Executive] Jane Doe [England]. Don't forget the following amendments to the basic rules:
The breakout rooms in Zoom have been set up to allow you to move freely between them without needing the Host to assign you to the room. This is the best way that a Diplomat can find a degree of secrecy and/or privacy while negotiating with a foreign power. You may need to make sure that you have the most recent update of zoom for this feature to work. If you do not have the feature, the Game Master (instructor) will remain in the main room and reassign players to different rooms per their request. As a reminder for the Executive: it is important that you write your orders correctly, which includes making sure that the orders are possible. The Game Master may - at their discretion - decide to interpret incorrect orders, but only at their discretion. |
