Tristan Atkinson
Tristan Atkinson is excited to be on the stage this season with Ground and Field in Ranked and appearing in Shining. Appearing in A Punchline and [un] Earthed last season, Tristan is happy to help bring new works and the festival as a whole to life for a second year Ben Carter
Ben Carter is an actor and is a senior theatre/psychology double major at UC Davis. He has worked with Bike City Theatre, Studio 301, the UCD Theatre & Dance Department, and numerous youth theatre companies in San Diego. Past credits include LTW: A Bike Safety Musical(Von Drais), Dogfight(adult male) Pippin(u/s Charles/Lewis, ensemble) in Davis; Bye Bye Birdie(Albert),Beauty and the Beast(Beast) in San Diego; and more. Training includes the UC Davis Theatre & Dance department (full-time student) and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts LA (7 week summer program). Katie Halls is a third year Theatre and Dance and English double major at UC Davis. So far during her Ground and Field experience, she has portrayed Myra in the staged reading of “[Un]Earthed”, gotten to work on her playwriting, and devised her original piece for the festival. Some of her favorite theatre experiences in the past have been performing as “Penny” in Hairspray, “Anne” in Anne of Green Gables the Musical, “Lucy” in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and being the captain of her improvisation team in high school |
Sophie BruBaker
Sophie is a third-year double major at UCD in Theatre and Dance and Human Development. Previously, she’s played Charlotte in Flora the Red Menace, Annie inLight the Way: A Bike Safety Musical, Josephine in Daisy Violet the Bitch Beast King, a Diva in Boxed Up:The Musicaland Rae in The Unfortunates.She is very thankful for these people and this festival & is currently being attacked by joy as she’s writing this. Talia Friedenberg is thrilled to be returning to Ground and Field for a third season! This year she is excited to be working both on and off stage, as Carnation in Fat Kid Rules the Worldand the assistant director for Shining. Recent credits: Manuela in The Tenth Muse with Davis Shakespeare Festival, Flora Meszaros in Flora the Red Menace with U.C. Davis Theatre & Dance Department. Talia will be graduating in December with a degree in Theater & Dance Tiffany Nwogu
Tiffany Nwogu is a fourth-year Theatre and Dance major and African American studies minor at UC DAVIS. She has appeared in Shakespeare’s RichardIII; Pecola in the Bluest Eye; Fall’s 2018 UC Davis’ Ground and Field Festival as an ensemble member and Summer in Summertime; Warrior Queen in Joe Shubach’s MFA piece,All of My Possessions for a Moment of Time.Tiffany is once again excited to work with GFTF as an ensemble member and contribute fun activity ideas for Field Day in the planning committee for this year’s festival. |
Alyssa Buchthal
Alyssa is a fourth year Computer Science and Communication double major at UCD. Previous selected credits include Chippy in Dogfight, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Sol in The Tale of the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon. Alyssa is thrilled to appear this season as Tess in Fat Kid Rules the World, Clymene in Shining,and to be a member of the Core planning committee for Ground and Field throughout the year.
